cloud service standards

Cloud computing has been described by The National Institute of Standards and Technology, an established agency of the US Department of Commerce, most recently as "a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction," with ubiquitous being a key term.

This description is the current one, published just six months ago by this government agency invested with the authority to describe secure proprietary enabled methods of tech know-how and participation for public safety. Ubiquitous is a key idea, since cloud availability is an ideal, and not defined by rule.

Cloud descriptions should be adaptable, not interchangeable, and certainly functioning where it needs to function, and nowhere else... this is the definition of a ubiquitous program, and describes a cloud ubiquity service as being everywhere and everything to all that require service.

Cloud computing, according to one blogger, will evaporate, reverting to its lesser identity of strict 'computing' power. Says Joe McKendrick of ZDNet, "the term may disappear, vendors will move on to hyping the next big thing, and we’ll remove the “cloud” from “cloud computing” as it simply... " elaborates the author, becomes nothing more than a perpetuous method. He goes on to describe this suggestion as inconsequential to the outcome, with computing being the only participatory language, and being the only issue left to discuss.

It seems cloud computing would be better termed cloud integration, with computing being the only access, and cloud being what would disappear from derivative.

Language being the barrier, a definition for computing begs that the internet speaks to the world, the structure of an entity on the internet speaks in unison, clearly, and individual access via device, would be as cloud dictates, accurately and securely.

This keeps everyone on the same page, appropriately.

Cloud defines the business, and business stands in protection of all who serve.

Go cloud!
