Angel of the LordThe Bible speaks many truths about how to live one's life, according to many evangelicals in today's society. The last set of biblical truths sent to man from an angel of the Lord occurs near the end of the Book of Revelations in Chapter 22. This truth is often ignored by evangelical Christians.

According to the personal witness of John in Revelations, the angel said to John according to the King James Version (Cambridge Edition): “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” In the plain modern language interpretation given by the New International Version, it reads: “Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy.”

These are the last words spoken by the Angel of the Lord in Revelations before he tells John that Jesus Christ will be coming soon. The most recent words spoken by President Obama on gay marriage, whether right or wrong in an evangelical's education should lead an evangelical to the same result – Let Him Be and Let Him Continue. Whether people who participate in gay marriage are unjust and wrong or righteous and right, the message from the Angel of the Lord is the same – Let Him Be and Let Him Continue.

Whether Obama is unjust, filthy, righteous, holy, wrong, vile, right or holy, the message from the Angel of the Lord is the same – Let Him Be and Let Him Continue. Evangelical critics of this opinion may try to tear this message apart, but I am just following the words that the Angel of the Lord said to John right before the words above: "Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand."
